We met inside a classroom at the school on this Sunday...it was probably raining or something.

Barron Prays

This has been a real challenge...learning to pray in Portuguese. For the most part you have to use a whole different form of verbs called "the subjunctive" when praying.

It's really tough to be this age in the Rincao neighborhood, but our group seems to be growing in every way.

Sometimes we have to improvise. This night the city guards forgot the keys to the classrooms so we had to do the children's ministry in the hall outside.

Baptisms

On December 18th we had a Christmas drama and afterwards we baptized 13 new believers!

We usually do baptisms at a creek or pond, but this time we brought a pool into the school.

Pastor Eduardo baptizes Lemo. He was one of several men, women, and children to participate.

Marcio's Baptism

After several months of discipleship with Barron, Marcio decided he was ready to be baptized. It's a big committment in this culture.

The Youth Drama Team

With some encouragement from a team from Grace Fellowship Church in Florida last summer, the youth in the Rincao put together a small Christmas drama.

Kid's Choir

Two of the Rincao moms had the idea to do this. They worked hard for weeks and it paid off.

Anniversary

The 18th also happened to be the anniverary to the day of the marriage we performed for 13 couples last year that had previously been living together.

Centro Church

In December, our Thurday night small group in the Centro started to make the transition into becoming a "church plant".

We emphasize breaking into smaller groups during our messages so that individuals can interact personally to the message.
